Way back in October Elle Magazine announced they were joining forces with Sweaty Betty to host a pilates class in each of their stores across the UK on a cold dark January night, as I hadn’t attended a pilates class in over two years and as everyone keeps telling me as a runner I need to stretch & work on my core more I decided that this would be as good as place as any to rekindle my love of pilates
For a small fee of just £15 we got a 60 minute class and a fab goody bag which included a years subscription to Elle, an Elemis Shower Gel, 2 Bounce Balls, 2 Nuun Hydration tablets (I have wanted to try Nuun for ages, I can’t find them in the shops anywhere) a 20% off voucher from Sweaty Betty, a Vita Coco water, 2 Benefit products and a few other goodies, there were so many great bits in this bag I can’t remember them all!!
Our Instructor was lovely but the smile on her face hid what a hard task master she was going to be for that hour, even those I follow on Twitter and Instagram and who I know who are much fitter than me, commented on how tough it was, my stomach muscles took several days to forgive me & the class has given me the confidence to sign up to some pilates classes
If you fancy trying something new Sweaty Betty run a series of free community classes in their stores each week ranging from Boxing to Yoga, Core Work to Ballet Classes to find out whats on near you click here
So far I have received 2 issues of Elle the first included another fab Benefit freebie, I must admit the timing couldn’t have been better for a magazine delivery subscription when I am stuck at home bored for 6 weeks and unable to move much, I am loving having something new to read other than back issues of Runners World or the Weight Watchers Magazine
